RE: RV Storage, Chattanooga, TN

Looked at their website and this place and it does have it all.. Nice looking place although seems a bit pricey. I park mine in an unheated warehouse for $2.50FT. works for me but does have to be winterized,as it is not heated !

RE: F-53 right leaf spring

the MH is at a local spring shop now. left spring has been replaced, but test drove it and it handled terribly-- (an accident waiting to happen)will be test driving this morning and see if a front end alignment made a difference. The front left spring was shot and needed to be replaced. to get the ride height right the shims were removed on the right side added to the left plus a 2" block added to the left side also. weird looking set up but that is their business. that is why I need a rt. spring so I can get back to factory spec.

F-53 right leaf spring

Need to locate a Right leaf spring for my 2000 Mt. Aire on the F-53 chassis. Ford no longer stocks them, although the left sides are still available. The local Ford truck dealer tried to locate one for me from a company that buys all nos parts but they had no lefts either. Any ideas out there ?? thanks Dave.

RE: f-53 SUSPENSION SPECIALIST > ADVICE PLEASE !

Memphis I appreciate the comment. I measured the ride height from middle of wheel hub to top of fender opening.. don't know why the front would be overloaded only propane on left side and emty storage bin on right. am not real educated as to weighing the four corners but have read a lot of post about it >> will take your advice and measure from the frame .thanks Dave

f-53 SUSPENSION SPECIALIST > ADVICE PLEASE !

I have a 2000 Newmar on the F-53 chassis.. My problem is with ride height in front. there is a 1 1/2" difference between right And left with the left being lower. Front ride heights are in the 15+ range. the rear wheel height is about 1/2 " with the left being the lower. and the rear is in the 18" range.. I have gone the air bag route on the front with not a lot of luck being that you have to run 50lbs. minium for MH's so I took them off >. Question is there supposed to be that much difference between front to back and is 1 1/2 difference across the front too much ?? want to have either spring added or have the leaf springs re arched .. but doing the latter seems like a temporary fix and would have to be done again ?? I measured with full fuel and 1/2 water.. would want MH home to ride level as possible.. and it does have one living room slide. thanks for any feedback !! Dave
